Under the hood of the 2022 Honda Pilot TrailSport is the powerful 3.5L SOHC i-VTEC® V6 engine that makes 280 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm and 262 pound-feet of torque @ 4,700 rpm. The V6 engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control.
Like all Honda Pilot trims, the Honda Pilot TrailSport features steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, ECON mode button, and Intelligent Variable Torque Management i-VTM4™ all-wheel-drive (AWD) system along with Intelligent Traction Management System. It also gets a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension for better control and durability over rocky terrain.
Honda says that the suspension in the 2022 Pilot TrailSport has been raised to offer an additional 0.6 or 15.4 mm inches of ground clearance which will help tackle rocks and boulders and wade through rivers and streams without ease.
The new TrailSport edition 2022 Honda Pilot also gets 18-inch black aluminum-alloy wheels and a more pronounced black cladding over the wheel arches. You also get black roof rails and a black front grille bar that crosses from side to side instead of the usual chrome bar on standard models. And to differentiate it from the other trims, the TrailSport comes with exclusive TrailSport logos on the power tailgate and the TrailSport black leather-trimmed seats inside.
Available in Modern Steel Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl exterior colours, the 2022 Honda Pilot TrailSport starts at $51,620 and is up for sale throughout Canada.
